Mmmmhm. *Could* work... I really liked the movie, the idea of the stargates was a new one and the connection to ancient Earth mythology fascinating.
I liked the TV show too, just stopped following when they killed off Daniel's wife... was to me as if JC would kill off Neytiri. A "No fricking way!" thing.

I just hope Emerich's gonna stick to the interesting storyline and not drift off into crash-boom-bang.
