i dont know how informed everyone is, but on Dec.18 I suffered an acute stroke from a bloot clot from a torn artery in my neck. A few days ago I was moved from the stroke recovery ward to the rehabillitation ward. Its been 12 days since the stroke and I no longer need catheterization or NG tube feeding and I'm re-learning how to swallow. That means that I'm back to feedng myself, although its currently minced food as I need to wait until Jan.2 for the nutritionist to get back from holidays. I'm doing physiotherapy to get my balance and strength back, but I'm pretty independent with a walker now. Gonna be another long week or 2 until I'm out of the hospital, and 3 months off of my post production job (I'll gladly take that ) It was surprising how fast everything that you take for granted can be snatched away in an instant. I'm thankful for benefits and free healthcare.

I came home from the hospital on Thursday morning after 24 days in hospital. Can't go back to work for 3 months (or drive for a while either), and in the meantime I have to try to regain my endurance and remap my balance. But it's good to be home and I can watch Atokirina play Frontiers of Pandora.

Kaltxi! I'm doing well, thanks for asking. Sorry that I'm not on much (and that everyone else seems to have disappeared too). I impressed all of the doctors and physiotherapists with my recovery. I've been removed from 2 of the 6 meds that I'm on. No more physiotherapy. Back to working on FX for films, but I'm still not allowed to drive again yet (Atokirina has to do all of the driving). I seem to take a nap for an hour or 2 in the afternoon, I occasionally lose my balance a bit, and my left arm still can't feel heat or cold, just an electric tingle when touched. My right vocal chord is still paralyzed but the left one has made up for it so you can't tell the difference. Other than that, I'm living life and having fun. People can't believe that I had a stroke less than 3 months ago.
